Christopher Kane SS15 Runway |
Cardigans, once associated with librarians and teachers, are on the cusp of a fashion moment. Christopher Kane and Louis Vuitton's runway shows featured neat twinset styles, whilst Chanel opted for a sexier approach, with nothing underneath.

Cardigan designs have recently been worn by celebrities including Suki Waterhouse, Alexa Chung and Rihanna too.

When it comes to a battle against sweaters, I think cardigans have the upper hand. Not only do they allow you to wear something stylish underneath, and you can take them off without ruining your hair. But they work as a sort of transitional item- not thick enough for a coat, but warm enough as we enter springtime.

Then there's the 1970's cardigan, which possesses a cool thrift-store vibe. It demonstrates how once again fashion trends have come full circle, for I recently purchased an over-sized, beige piece- perfect over a chic croptop and shorts for sunny days.
