Helen Mirren was wearing one of my favourite, big-brand
designers- Dolce&Gabbana to ‘The Hundred Foot Journey’ photocall, at Le
Cordon Bleu on the 2nd of September 2014.
Dame Helen Mirren with co-stars Om Puri and Manish Dayal
attended a press-conference for their recent movie ‘The Hundred Foot Journey’
in London.

I absolutely adore this dress. When wearing multiple prints
you have to pick them out carefully, for it is very easy to choose two that
although are stunning separately, may not look as chic when paired with each other.
However this is evidence as to when you get it right, it
looks remarkable. The black background keeps the look age appropriate- not too
loud and elegant.

I love how the gold tones tie into several aspects of the
outfit, such as within the floral designs of her top, or on the skirt- the
primary color for those Aztec markings.
She completed the
look with sophisticated gold earrings and sassy cheetah-print heels, which to
be honest I am not a massive fan of. The rest of the ensemble is perfect, but I
feel there’s enough prints going on and a plain black or nude shoe would have
been more effective.

She also went with minimal makeup, including a subtle hint
of red on her lips, which was a fabulous choice as it highlighted some of the
flowers within her top and freshened up the whole look.
