Here are some best and worst looks from the MTV Video Music Awards 2014.

Although I respect Taylor Swift for taking a fashion risk by wearing such a short piece, the real problem here is the shoes. They don’t compliment the blue, and clash with her makeup. I also think that if her hair was straightened or tied back, the look would have a cleaner, crisper feel. 

Thankfully she redeemed herself with her performance outfit that was both appropriate with the theme of her song as well as looked stunning.

 We have already seen Ariana Grande wearing thigh-high boots, a mini-dress and ponytail together- I would have loved to have seen her change it up a bit. Although, again she definitely impressed in her performance outfit- the monotone scheme looked effortlessly chic.

Here’s Katy Perry in a denim ensemble. I don’t mind the dress itself, but the belt buckle and that matching choker really put’s me off- it seems to have a superhero vibe, however this may stem from her hairstyle, as that does remind me a bit of ‘superwoman’ when paired with this outfit.

Both the Jenner girls were looking elegant in classy black.

Big sister Kim looked equally fashionable.

My favourite look of the night has got to be Iggy Azalea in a white-silver Versace gown that was absolutely gorgeous. Her ‘Black Widow’ performance outfit with Rita Ora didn’t disappoint either and was super stylish.

Amber Rose dazzled in a revealing chain dress by Laurel DeWitt.
